Important Information for UAA/UAS Students

If you are a UAA or UAS student, you are welcome to apply for any of UAF's international exchange programs that you do not have available to you at your home university.  The steps to apply through UAF are different depending on which campus you currently attend.

  2. Be nominated by UAS to participate in UAF's program

Step 2: Complete an online application at UAF

Once you have contacted your home campus and completed the steps above, you can start your online application at UAF.  Please see the 'How to Apply' page for details.

UAA and UAS students are only eligible to apply for programs through UAF that are not available to them at their home campus.

Step 3: Attend Pre-Departure Orientation at your home campus

Your home campus coordinator will be planning a pre-departure orientation for outbound students and will give you information concerning when and where it will be held.

Step 4: Transfer Credits

When your studies are completed at the host campus you exchange to through UAF, your host transcripts will be sent to UAF and be processed and displayed on your UAF transcript.  Those credits will then be transferred to UAA or UAS, and the credits earned will be treated as transfer credits.
