Program Description:

Laurea University of Applied Sciences is a multidisciplinary and an  acknowledged university of applied sciences operating in the Greater Helsinki Region in seven campuses. It provides with new competences through world class education, research, and regional development by  following the Learning Developing (LbD) operational model.

The  educational and research profile of Laurea covers Service Business, Health Care, Security & Safety, and Entrepreneurship. Laurea offers 17  Bachelor's Degree Programmes and 14 Master's Degree Programmes in  these four fields of study for 8 000 students. Our Bachelor degree  programmes in English are Security management, Business Management, Business information technology, Tourism, Facility management, Nursing, and Social services. Our Master’s degree programmes in English are Service Innovation and Design (Master of Business Administration) and Health  promotion (Master of Health Care).

Laurea has been nominated by Finnish Higher Education Evaluation Council as a centre of excellence five times; three times based on the education and two times based on the regional development. This is the best  achievement among Finnish universities of applied sciences. Laurea was  also a centre of excellence for the period 2010–2012.
