6-Week or 10-Week or Custom Date Career-Building Internships in Australia, China, Spain, and New Zealand

Internships are designed for an individual looking to learn new skills and gain practical knowledge in their field of study in order to facilitate career development. Our internship programs are not built around menial tasks. We custom build internships to meet participants' needs and bring our experience to ensure a great internship experience. Students and advisors who choose GlobaLinks Learning Abroad for their internship program know that they will receive a high-quality placement, the option for academic credit, and much more.

Over the past 20 years, we have served thousands of university students and their advisors through our well-reputed internship program. Each intern has been provided with high-quality work experience in their chosen field of study, which has undoubtedly benefited them as they began their full-time job search.

Our international internship programs are not only for career-building experience. The personal growth, cross-cultural communications skills, and global competencies each student gains makes these individuals stand out from all other graduates.

About Custom Date Internships

Custom Date Internship placements are flexible opportunities for independent interns who are unable to participate in the 6-Week or 10-Week program for any one of the following reasons:
• You do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements.
• You cannot attend the program during the pre-set dates.
• You need an internship of a duration other than 6 or 10 weeks.
Custom Date Internships are available in most every field of study. These one-of-a-kind placements can accommodate a variety of start and end dates and program lengths. In the required cover letter, you should detail the type of internship you are seeking and your desired start and end dates.

In general, it is possible to start a Custom Date Internship at any time. A complete application must be received by our office at least four months prior to the intended start date. We will try to match up these dates as closely as possible, but we suggest that you have some flexibility. Program fees vary with the actual finalized program length. Because program dates are customized for each applicant, you will be participating individually and not as a group.  Therefore, we advise that this program is for a very independent person.  While we are always available if you experience any serious problems, it is important you prepare yourself to experience real world challenges and know that you will be apart from your usual surroundings.

GlobaLinks Learning Abroad internships are available:

  • in every field of study
  • for varying lengths in order to accommodate different majors and student with different internship requirements
  • in English so that language is not an obstacle to a great internship placement
