Welcome to UAF's Study Away Programs!  UAF offers hundreds of national and international exchange, study abroad, and international internship opportunities all over the US and the world!

You can earn UAF academic credit while you're away, which may apply to your degree program. From a few weeks in the summer to a semester or two, or more, you'll find a program that works for you. You can even go on more than one program, both nationally and abroad! While some programs do have foreign language requirements, many others are taught in English and/or offer beginning-level language courses. Costs depend on the program and location, but you can use most financial aid on program costs, and there are lots of scholarships opportunities available.

The National Student Exchange (NSE) provides opportunities for you to study for a semester or a year at another NSE college or university in the United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. 

With nearly 200 universities from which to choose, you should be able to find a campus with just the right combination of courses, facilities, and environment to meet your personal and academic needs and interests.
