International Internships and Field Experience

UAF offers many exciting opportunities to intern abroad! You can earn academic credit while working in your field anywhere in the world! If you have an internship component as part of your degree requirement, consider one abroad!

As international internships fall under the broad category of study abroad, all students applying for one must first apply online through the Study Away office if credit is being granted. Once you’ve been approved for study abroad, you’ll begin the internship application process. International internships may have some additional requirements such as minimum GPA, class standing, foreign language ability, or course prerequisites. Internships may take some time to set up, so start planning early.
