This page is a work in progress; more will be added from time to time, so check back often.

This page is designed as a resource to help specific majors find programs that offer classes related to their major. Please keep in mind that this list will not include all of the possible locations where you might be able to find major classes. These tend to be locations where we have sent students in the past. All suggested locations offer classes in English.

Also keep in mind; if you still have general education requirements, you can take these almost anywhere! You do not need to find a school that offers classes in your major.

(Exchange) - allow you to pay UAF-tuition
(_provider acronym_) i.e. (API) - through the designated provider (most fees paid directly to the provider)
(NSE) - through the National Student Exchange, either home pay (UAF-tuition/fees) or host pay (resident-tuition of host state) available depending on host school

Engineering

  • University of Bergen, in Norway (Exchange) - particularly for Geological and Petroleum Engineering
  • Tohoku University, in Japan (Exchange)
    • requires enrollment in a research course (5-10 credits per semester); Students do research on a current topic that is related to their field of studies, with the support of research groups to which they are assigned.
